Whoever relies on the Dao in governing men
doesn't try to force issues
or defeat enemies by force of arms.
For every force there is a counterforce.
Violence, even well intentioned,
always rebounds upon oneself.

Maybe we automated governance
because democracy was too messy for our algorithms.
Maybe every multi-sig was just a way
to diffuse responsibility until no one was accountable.

The sage does his work
and then stops.
He does not take advantage of his position.
